Tour manager: Cox & Kings tour managers are carefully selected for their travel experience and organisational abilities. Your tour manager will meet your group on arrival and will escort you throughout your journey (unless otherwise specified).

Comfortable land travel: For road journeys, Cox & Kings uses buses of a size appropriate to the size of the group, with air conditioning where this facility is available. On rail journeys, groups are booked in the best available class on the train.

Scheduled flights: Cox & Kings uses only the services of scheduled airlines for all international and most internal flights. All prices are based on Economy Class flights; Cox & Kings offers excellent upgrade rates if required and details of these are shown on the tour pages. Flight schedules may mean that some early morning departures or arrivals may be unavoidable.

Expert local guides: On most tours, in addition to the services of the tour manager, Cox & Kings escorted group tours also benefit from the knowledge of local guides who accompany each excursion. In some cases, where appropriate, the tour manager will also act as the local guide. Where possible, your entrance fees are included in the holiday price.

Characterful accommodation: We take great care in our selection of accommodation. Typically, we feature well located 4- and 5-star hotels.

Small group sizes: To enhance your enjoyment of the tour, we like to keep our groups small and manageable. Therefore, numbers are normally restricted to a maximum of 18 and an average of just 14.

Solo-friendly travel: Our Solo Travellers group tours allow you to explore free of single supplements alongside other solo travellers, and with the guidance of an experienced tour manager.

Balanced pace: Opportunities to relax or explore independently are built into most tours. However, unlike other operators we will always include what we believe are the must-see highlights in the cost of your tour.

Extensions: Cox & Kings is happy to arrange for you to extend your stay beyond the escorted group tour dates. We have suggested extension options for most tours online, but our specialist consultants would also be delighted to design a tailor-made extension for you, either pre- or post-tour, to fit in with your interests. Group tour extensions are operated on the same basis as private travel unless other members of the main tour group choose to take the same extension, in which case the relevant services may be shared.
