Africa is both humankind’s oldest and most youthful home. Today, its average age is just 19, yet it is also the place where humans first walked the earth, around 300,000 years ago.
In this continent, we evolved alongside some of the world’s most charismatic beasts; now, travellers come to witness lions, rhinos and elephants in pristine landscapes across Kenya, South Africa, Botswana and Zambia; delight in the gorillas of Uganda and Rwanda; and to marvel at the lemurs of Madagascar; while enjoying the comfort of highly civilised, yet environmentally considerate tented camps, forest lodges, and well-managed game reserves.
